As the summer season approaches, the number of connections by sea continues to increase; between Sorrento and the pearls of the Gulf of Naples and Salerno, such as Capri, Amalfi and Positano.
For the Amalfi and Sorrento Coasts, the sea routes represent a great opportunity; to ease the traffic and the burden on State Road 163 and 145.
As of Friday 19 May 2017, new timetables came into force for the maritime connections between Amalfi, Positano and Sorrento.
There are two ferries arriving directly in Sorrento from the main town on the Divina Costiera.
There are also two runs available to make the reverse journey, with departures at 10.30 and 14.55 respectively. Also in this case there will be a stop in Positano, at 11.10 and 15.40 with arrival in Amalfi scheduled for 11.25 and 16.15.
There are new timetables also for the route connecting Salerno and Capri. In fact, Alicost has inserted a new route departing from the Manfredi pier from the provincial capital at 8.40, arriving in Minori at 9.10, Amalfi at 9.30, Positano at 10 and Capri at 10.50.
A very important service for the Sorrento Peninsula and the Amalfi Coast and above all for all tourists; who will have the opportunity to enjoy fantastic scenery, free from the stress of traffic. Particularly at weekends, when the great influx of cars puts the road network in serious crisis. The service will cease in October.
